by Freeline Properties, 7 Apr 2010

Three historical buildings in Wale Street, Cape Town are for sale.

It is not often that Cape Town's historical buildings become available, says Graham Freeling of Freeline Properties.com.

Wale Street runs from the top of Adderley Street to the Lion's "rump" in the Bo-Kaap.

The buildings for sale are:

68 Wale Street: the original Crown Pub, which dates back to 1862 and was frequented by visiting seamen.  The building has yellow wood flooring, high ceilings, rusticated plaster and a stoep with end walls. The price is R2.65 million.

64-66 Wale Street: appears on Snow's Survey of 1862 and was owned by Goodall & Williams.  It consists of two storeys with three symmetrical facades on an extensive site with a second two-storey building at the back.  Features include teak door and an Edwardian 12-panel door at the main entrance.  The price is R4.25 million.

58-62 Wale Street is a two-storey building with roughly symmetrical facade and reeded round-edged canopy.  It appears to be a much modified old property and also shows on Snow's Survey of 1862.  The price is R1.35 million.
